Question
I have to go to classes in Blackhawk College, Moline, IL and the program as an LPN. I am an LPN that worked in acute care has not blown in the last 5 years and at my own horn, but I’ve won a lot of interesting work there.
Of course, I’m all done with my pre-requistes, and to end the bridge their program. So I would start with the first semester nursing students. They say they can do it again, but she had too many LPNs that would not even have their license and turn into the bridge program and fall back.
I must say that I am offended that 6 years as a LPN is worth nothing when they return to school. Grrr. Do I have to wait another year and see if it again? Or of the first semester learning to take blood pressure and give baths start – yes, bathrooms, because they do not require CNA course as a pre-requiste

Question
I was bombing of A & P at HCC and I am afraid to try it again. If started in an RN school depends on a GPA, should I just bag it? I swear, I can not memorize or learn, as I used to be. I’m 44th I accept and pass the math and English all the requirements. Got A and B on the classes but the science is very, very hard for me.
I hear there are waiting lists for RN programs here and if you have less than a 3.0 or higher, you will be forever to get in. Or Never.
Any suggestions? Maybe I’ve just had the wrong anatomy teacher?

Question
I am planning in nursing homes go next year. I think the LPN program to be fit for my circumstances.
I wonder whether I would be able to pass RN exam, shortly after I get the LPN certificate. Or I would have through the RN-LPN bridge program first?

Question
I’m currently thinking applied to Galen in St Pete’s LPN RN program. I was curious if anyone out there to visit or go right now. I know it’s expensive, but I already have most of my Gen Ed’s so the cost is almost halved. I am also looking at SPC, but I probably could not begin there, to be completed by January 2011 and not until May 2012. Galen When I began in August, I would be done November 2011.

Though a national nursing shortage has long been foreseen, the economy seems to have delayed the shortage. According to the Missouri Hospital Association, the RN vacancy rate was down from 8.8 percent in 2004 to 4.1 percent in 2009. The MHA also reported a 3.7 percent vacancy rate in Southeast Missouri, compared to a 3.9 percent Missouri total vacancy. The numbers may be encouraging, but the shortage has far from disappeared, say local medical providers.
